Reality TV star Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has accused Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa, Abuja, of failing to protect her after allowing a group of men to gain unauthorized access to her room and detain her over alleged property damage worth ₦3.5 million.
The Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner took to social media to share her harrowing experience, claiming that the hotel's security was compromised when touts were allowed through the main gate and reception, all the way to her second-floor room where they broke down her door.
In a video that recently went viral, Phyna was seen in a physical altercation with another woman, an incident she says was the culmination of the hotel's security failure. According to her account, the hotel staff not only failed to stop the intruders but allegedly disclosed her room number to them.

"Because I'm Phyna, I'm being forced by a hotel that couldn't secure me in their premises," Phyna lamented. "A hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception, up to the 2nd floor to break down the door. The same hotel that told the touts my room number. I've never seen that type of thing."
The reality star expressed frustration over her current predicament, stating that she was being detained at the hotel until Monday for refusing to pay the ₦3.5 million in alleged damages. She lamented her recent string of misfortunes in 2025, feeling overwhelmed by the distressing experiences she has faced.
"Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa allowed touts to come into the hotel to fight me, and now they're about to lock me up till Monday because I refused to pay ₦3.5 million," she stated emotionally, adding, "This 2025 for just take me leave my sister."
The incident highlights serious concerns about security protocols at the establishment and raises questions about the treatment of high-profile guests in Nigerian hotels. As the story continues to develop, fans and followers await further clarification on both the alleged damages and the security breach that endangered the reality star's safety.
