A dramatic marital crisis has unfolded between Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, as both parties make serious allegations against each other. The 64-year-old lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District has broken his silence regarding domestic violence accusations made by his 25-year-old wife, countering with claims of drug and alcohol abuse.
The controversy began when a viral video surfaced showing Daniels in distress, crying and stating, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my house, I am queen. Not again, I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.” Her brother, Sammy West, who posted the video on Instagram, accused the senator of physically assaulting his sister and sending thugs to attack her.
In a swift response posted on social media, Senator Nwoko denied all allegations of domestic violence, instead painting a picture of a wife struggling with substance abuse. “Regina wasn’t always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” he stated, expressing concern for her life and safety.
The senator provided what he termed evidence, including videos showing cracked windows, broken tables, and damaged vehicles. He alleged that Regina had become violent, “slapping and hitting three staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause.”
Furthermore, Nwoko made explosive claims about Daniels’ associates, alleging that her brother Sammy West was actually her “main drug supplier” and identifying another person named “Ann” as another supplier. He also claimed Regina threatened to kill their resident nurse for exposing her drug abuse.

The senator revealed that he had set conditions for Regina to undergo rehabilitation, either in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, particularly in Jordan, where access to drugs would be restricted.
This public dispute comes as a shock to many, as just weeks ago, the couple appeared playful on social media when Daniels shared a prank video featuring her husband. Despite the apparent irritation in the video, Nwoko had left a playful comment underneath.
The couple’s marriage began in 2019 when Daniels married the senator at age 18. They have two children together, and Regina is Nwoko’s sixth wife. Daniels, who began her acting career at age 7, has become a prominent figure in Nollywood, featuring in over 100 Nigerian movies.
Meanwhile, Senator Nwoko boasts an impressive career as a lawyer, politician, and philanthropist. He was recognized as the “Best Black Lawyer of African Descent in England” in 1995 before returning to Nigeria to pursue politics.
